Fred M. Williamson, age 89, of New Albany, OH, passed away December 17, 2017 at home. Employed by Oakland Nursery since 1956. An avid fisherman. Survived by his son, Freddie Williamson; grandson, Stacey (Brie) Williamson; great-grandchildren, Greyson and Ainsley Williamson, and Chase Van Deest; sister, Florence (Don) Clickenger; former daughter-in-law, Sandy Williamson; special friend, Martha Marcom. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Viola; granddaughter, Melissa Williamson. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Thursday 6-8 p.m. followed by a service at 8 p.m., Dr. David Hogg, officiating. Private family interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.

To the family of Fred, you have my condolences in your loss. It is truly a blessing to live for 89 years. God blessed Fred with special mightiness, as Psalm 90:10 says, “The span of our life is 70 years, Or 80 if one is especially strong.” That is a long life but not compared to blessings of everlasting life! By means of God’s Kingdom, he promises that we will live forever in the near future (Psalm 37:29).
