Frank Rudrick Jr. born July 21, 1938 to the late Frank Rudrick Sr. and Emma (Russ) Rudrick. Frank Jr. AKA "Treerunner" was found sleeping peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, Patricia Ann (Bobst) Rudrick, brother, Richard Rudrick, daughter, Ronda Michael and son-in-law, Jack May Jr. Frank is survived by his brother, Bob Rudrick, his children, Rusty (Cathy) Weber, Sheli May, Jonna (Ralph) Lohr, Steve Weber, Connie Hobner and son-in- law, Nick Michael; his grandchildren, Angel, Rusty, Samantha, Stephanie, Jackie "Baby J", Jacob, Brandi, Ryan, Brody, Tyler, Erica, Amber, Andrew, Mareena and Alex. Countless great and great-great grandchildren. I started writing this about the greatest man I knew only to realize he was the greatest man to everyone that knew him. There was nothing this man didn't accomplish from being a firefighter, a river rat, Racing motorcycles on ice, to working for the township. He was a loving husband to Patty Ann, a dad when he didn't have to be. He was a pig farmer growing up in Centerburg at the old Hall Farm out on Updyke, landing him his favorite trophy, Showmanship Richland Co. Fair in the year of 1951. He was a proud Teamster working for American Freight or TNT Holland. At any given day you could find him down at the Amvets, here in Old Centerburg telling one of his famous stories. If you asked Frank what's outside of the Burg, he couldn't tell you despite traveling all over. He would have said there is nothing you need that you can't get in Centerburg. No matter the season or sport, Frank never missed his favorite team, the Trojans plan a game. Here recently his favorite sport included anything his grandkids played. In his later years he filled his time mowing (it didn't matter who's yard), scrapping for a little beer money, and going to church with his lady friend Kathy. This man was loved by so many. No matter the time, no matter if you heard it already, you would drop anything just to hear one more story. It saddens me I won't hear get to hear his laugh, his terrible yet amazing singing or just hear his voice. Today we celebrate the life of a true gentleman who thought the world of this little town. We are celebrating a man that up until his death could still do a one handed push-up without fear. Frank's family and friends meant more to him than any amount of money. I find peace in knowing he finally gets to answer his lifelong question, "How do you call a duck?" Please join our family for calling hours at Centerburg Christian Church on April 21, 2023 from 6-8 pm and on April 22, 2023 from 2-4 pm with a funeral following. There will be a celebration of life on April 23, 2023 at Centerburg Amvets Post 59 with Karaoke starting at 6:30 pm.
