Fay Jean Bruno
Mom, grandma, wife, daughter and friend.
June 30, 1938 - February 29, 2024.
We are sad to share the news of Fay's passing on Thursday February 29th, 2024. True to her unique sense of humor, the lover of all things to do with frogs, she left this world of the living on Leap Day.
Fay joins her husband, John Simone Bruno (2019) in their heavenly resting place. They were married for more than 61 years. She gave us all the love she could over the last five years. But they are together at last. Be glad and rejoice in it.
Fay is survived by her four children: Rick Bruno (Kathy), Jonni Chirchirillo (Charlie), Ed Bruno, and Deanna Arthurs (Ben); her grandchildren: Ricky Bruno, Joe Chirchirillo, John Chirchirillo, John David Bruno, Katie Bruno, Troy Bruno, Michaella Gerlacher, Tanner Gerlacher, Jared Gerlacher, Jordan Gerlacher, and Jaxon Arthurs, and her two great grandchildren, Mia Bruno, and Zuri Bruno. Fay is also survived by her cousins, Tim and Rose Beach and countless other family members from Akron and Ravenna Ohio.
Fay loved her family and friends. She wanted everyone to feel loved and included at all times. Her grandchildren gave her the most joy as she would light up with a smile any time a child would come visit.
We are grateful to the staff at Smith's Mill Assisted living facility (New Albany) for their kindness and compassion. Fay was the mayor and welcoming committee for her circle of friends there.
In lieu of flowers or donations for a traditional funeral setting, please consider joining us for a Celebration of Life this summer around her birthday (6/30). Time and location TBD.
Condolences
