Evelyn F. Gardner

Evelyn Francis Gardner, born August 12, 1925 in Los Angeles, CA passed away on August 22, 2022 at the age of 97. Evelyn lived most of her life in California where she built a career as a nurse caring for inmates of the San Quentin State Prison. She loved to travel the world, visiting places like Germany and Italy but her favorite destination was Hawaii where she vacationed multiple times with her husband Leonard. When not traveling, Evelyn loved to read, garden and crochet.

She is preceeded in death by her brother, Ted Turner; her husband, Leonard Gardner; and her sons, Phillip Davis and Stephen Davis.

She is survived by her sister, Anna Stephens; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Cameron Davis; her grandchildren, Stephen Frederick Davis Jr. (Tricia), Bryan Turner Davis (Jacqueline), Cynthia Davis Fielding (Victor) and Evelyn Marie Davis-Walker (Steven); and eight great-grandchildren, Valerie Davis, Jacob Davis, Gabrielle Davis, Shannon Davis, Elizabeth Davis, Milo Fielding, Delaney Fielding and Poppy Walker.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 3rd beginning at 9:30am with a service immediately following at 10:30am at Moreland Funeral Home 55 East Schrock Rd, Westerville, OH 43081. Rev. Fr. Jonathan F. Wilson presiding. Entombment Blendon Central Cemetery.
