ZINN
Eugene “Gene” Zinn, age 84, passed away at home August 17, 2010. Gene was born January 7, 1926 in Coldwater, MI. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Gene was a longtime resident of Westerville, retired from Meadow Gold Dairy. He enjoyed his extended family at the Ruckmoor Lounge for the last several years. He always remained a loyal University of Michigan fan despite living in Ohio since 1959. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Lucy Ullom and sisters Ramona and Phyllis; he is survived by his daughter, Christy Weisenstein and her husband Terry of Blacklick, OH; son, Jim and his wife Sue of Williamsburg, VA and their children/ his grandchildren Jenny, Mike and Kyle; his brother, Cork of Coldwater, MI; his loving cats, Tina and Little One; and many friends and family. Family and friends may call at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday 6-8 p.m.where service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m., Dr. Richard Ellsworth, officiating, followed by interment at Trenton Cemetery, Condit, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gene’s memory may be made to the Westerville Fire Fighters Memorial, Inc., 52 Westerville Square, Suite 265, Westerville, Ohio 43081 or The Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Court, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.

So sorry to hear about your lost. We’re going to miss Gene very much. He was such a wonderful person.. I’m so thankful I got to know him in this life. My prayers are with his family.

Dear Jim, Christy and Families, We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Genes’ passing. He was a good guy. Patti and I got to see him a few months ago as he was convalescing.
