Eric S. Bagley, 53, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away on October 3, 2022 at Kobacker House after a two and a half year battle with cancer. He was born October 1, 1969 to David and the late Ruth Ann Bagley. He is a graduate of Westerville North High School class of 1988 and thereafter, attended Ashland University.

Eric was a selfless man who would go above and beyond to help the ones in his circle. He cherished his friends and family. Eric was always ready for a good time with a Busch Light in his hand. From throwing cornhole in the neighborhood on the weekends, rooting for the Buckeyes on Saturday and yelling at the TV watching the Lions on Sundays. When he wasn't hanging out in the garage you could always find Eric attending the kids sporting events cheering them on.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 26 years, Jole; three children, JD, Marissa and Brady; father, David; brother, Matt (Lisa); half sister, Kate; nephews, Nick and Tyler; as well as many extended family members and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ann; brothers, Bryan and Allen; sister, Denise.

Please join us for a celebration of life honoring Eric.
Friday, October 7th from 3-6pm with a memorial service to immediately follow.

Eric was always “Bags” to me when I was growing up across the street. Granted I was coming into my time as an angst ridden teen at the time who wanted nothing to do with sports, but Bags struck me even then as the kind of guy you’d want to crack a beer and watch a game with. The man radiated love for his wife and for his kids, he lived for them and it was always apparent. Bags was the kind of guy you picture when the words “outstanding American” are thrown together, but without any of the bullshit. To a father, a husband, a neighbor, to an example of kindness, you will be missed. Thank you for being here for us all, neighbor, rest easy.

I appreciate all your help with our garage and our daughters spring breaking together. Pools that needed blown up and cleaned. You are forever a gem in the Louis hearts and so many more I’m positive!
