Emily R. Miner, age 85, long-time resident of Westerville, Thursday, July 28, 2011. Emily devoted her life to her family, church and friends. After she and her husband Bob raised their three children, she enjoyed gardening, crafts, needlework, camping and traveling to 49 states and Canada. She served as deacon and elder at First Presbyterian Church. She was a long-time member of Beta CCL. Emily encouraged and supported her many friends with cards and letters. She considered herself fortunate to have so many caring friends and neighbors. Survived by daughter, Janet (Joseph) Rarey of Rogers, AR; sons, James (Charlene) Miner of Stow, OH and Robert (Gail) Miner of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Kelly (Gene) Bond of Powell, OH, Michelle (Scott) Boschert of Northville, MI, Michael (Rebekah) Miner of Lyndonville, NY, Christopher (Kim) Miner of Minot, ND, Matthew (Selam) Miner of Westerville, OH and Eric Miner of Fargo, ND; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Norman (Min) Rasmussen of Pompano Beach, FL; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Robert E. Miner in 2002 and parents, Walter and Berta Rasmussen. Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Westerville, 41 W. College Ave. Westerville, Saturday, September 3, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. where friends may call one hour before the service. Rev. Mark Gauen officiating. Private interment Blendon Central Cemetery by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
