KESSLER

Elizabeth Ann (McClory) Kessler, age 78, of Westerville, OH peacefully passed away on October 26 after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. Elizabeth was born and raised in the Columbus, OH area and graduated from Rosary High School in 1953. She was the youngest of five children born to the late Bernard and Ethel McClory and was the beloved wife of Thomas Kessler for 57 years. Elizabeth is survived by her brothers Fr. Bernard McClory of Columbus, Harold McClory of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, and Walter McClory of Leesburg, FL. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Paul Kessler and sister, Mary Hendricks. She is also survived by her beloved children Kathleen (Ken) Wolford of Florence, KY, Thomas (Danita) Kessler and Mary Ann Woods (Bob Crossmon) of Westerville, treasured grandchildren Nicholas (Kathleen) Wolford of Kansas City, MO, Jordan (Christine) Kessler and Hillary Kessler of Westerville, and Delaney and Zachary Woods of Westerville, a host of nieces and nephews, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Elizabeth was an artist at heart and she operated a home-based cake decorating business for many years. Later she became involved with the Heart of Ohio Tole Painters organization where she had many dear friends. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events, collecting shells on the beach, and gardening, but mostly she loved laughing and spending time with her family. She was a gentle soul who brought much joy to everyone she touched and she will be sadly missed by all. Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 31, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 1 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 North State Street, Westerville, OH 43082 where a funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Private interment at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery in Columbus. The family suggests memorial donations to The James Cancer Hospital, P. O. Box 183112, Columbus, OH 43218 or the Alzheimer’s Association, P. O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090. Arrangements by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville.
