Elizabeh "Joyce" Brown, age 90, of Centerburg, passed away peacefully at home, she now walks with her Lord and Savior. If you ever had the opportunity to meet Joyce, it was evident she was an angel on earth. She always had a smile and positive attitude. Joyce was always thinking of others before herself. Her love and commitment to God, family, Church and community was constant throughout her life. She was a dedicated wife and homemaker and worked alongside her husband milking and promoting their registered Jerseys. That work ethic was instilled upon her from childhood having been raised on her parent's farm. Joyce was active in 4-H and carried that dedication into adulthood serving as an advisor in Knox County for over 35 years. Lifetime member of Milford Church of Christ, Knox County Jersey 4 H Club and Milford 4 H Club, and fomer Milford Grange. At the Milford Church of Christ, she played piano, served with the Dorcas Society and could be counted on to prepare delicious dishes for church activities. Let's not forget the pies she made for the Centerburg Old Time Farming Festival. Joyce enjoyed feeding and watching birds, loved flowers and her cat. Brenda, Stu and Cindy, I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Joyce. As I told Jorie, she was the most consistently sweet human beings I ever knew. I am so thankful she was part of our family and we ache for your special loss.
