Eleanor L. Deskins

Eleanor Louise (Schanck) Deskins, 91, of Westerville, passed from this life on to the next on September 27, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lottie Schanck; her sister, Evelyn Winckelman and infant son, Robert William. She is survived by her husband, William A. (Bill) Deskins; sons, Bryan (Lucy) Deskins and Jim (Eileen) Deskins and her granddaughters, Rachel Landig and Holly Camerucci. Eleanor, better known as Ellie, was born on January 10, 1933, in Westerville, Ohio. She graduated from Westerville High School in 1950 and was very proud of her school. She went on to work at the Kilgore Manufacturing Company, where she met her husband, Bill. She worked there for several years, eventually getting married and raising her two children in Westerville. She enjoyed volunteering at church for many years in various capacities at the First Presbyterian Church in Westerville and making her house a home. Her greatest joys were her two sons, her two daughters-in-law, and then in her later years, her two twin granddaughters. Visitation will be held at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville on  Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m.. Interment Pioneer Cemetery.
