Albert E. Lohri, age 96, of Columbus, OH, passed away February 13, 2016. Retired from DCSC, Albert was a welder by trade. He worked for the Navy during World War II repairing damaged battleships including the USS Missouri which was commissioned in June 1944. He loved gardening, woodworking and sharing his talents with others. Survived by his daughter, Susan Lewis; granddaughter, Natalie Trick (Nicholas) Cenci; great-granddaughters, Madeline and Alexandra Cenci. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary, daughter, Beverly Trick and sister, Edrie Lohri. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Tuesday 6-8 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Drive, Columbus, OH 43229 Wednesday at 11 a.m., Rev. Fr. Tom Petry, celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Al was always a pleasure to talk with, when he came to our store. Very sharp to understand current events, with wisdom and wit. Sorry, I was under the weather yesterday, and missed the visitation.

Uncle Albert was a wonderful person, kind and loving. He will truly be missed. We are so sorry that we cannot be there. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
