DOHERTY
Dot Doherty, age 82, of Westerville, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2012. Graduate of St. Thomas School of Nursing in Akron, Ohio and long career in Pediatrics, Nursing Instruction, Public Health and Administration. In her long career she helped many people at 14 facilities in 6 states. She was an active member of the Catholic church, contributing her soprano voice to the choir. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Doherty, 2 sisters; Frances Mernagh and Rose Marie Andreas. Survived by children; Edward J. Doherty, Jr., Christine (David) Willoughby, Deborah (Kenneth) Tankersley and Timothy (Pamela) Doherty; 8 grandchildren; Heather, Janna, Leah, Michael, Rebecca, Nicholas, Gregory and Jillian. brother Leo Mernagh and sisters, Ruth (Doc) Waller, Helen Jacobs, Florence Mernagh and Mary (Jerry) Agrima and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, Saturday 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 4, 2012 at St. Paul The Apostle Parish, 313 North State Street Westerville, OH. Rev. Fr. David E. Gwinner, Celebrant. Private interment.
