Dorothy L. Carson (Dottie), 89, of Westerville, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 25th surrounded by her family. Dottie was born in Avella, Pennsylvania on November 26, 1933. She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Carson (Bob); her daughter, Stacey (John) Temple of Johnstown; son, Christoper (Jennifer) Carson of Westerville; grandson, Brandon Temple and granddaughters, Ashley Temple, Alaina and Stephanie Carson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna (Feciuch) Hutnick and her siblings: Samuel Hutnick, Nick Hutnick, Joseph Hutnick, John Hutnick, Anna Graves, and Stella Coffman.

Dottie was a proud graduate of Akron South High School class of 1953, where she met the love of her life Bob. They were married in Akron, Ohio on February 21, 1959. She worked at Firestone, before moving to San Francisco while Bob was in the army. Back in Ohio, Dottie raised her children while working for the Fred Arbogast fishing lure company, and after the kids were raised, she worked at JCPenney Insurance and Chemlawn. Bob & Dottie traveled across the US over the years and enjoyed their travels, as well as early camping trips with friends and neighbors. She was an avid Hallmark movies fan. She will be missed dearly by her loving family; she was always up for a game of dominoes or cards, especially Five Crowns and Uno. Dottie loved the time that she spent with her grandchildren and her grandchildren adored her.

Visiting hours for Dottie will be at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, on Thursday November 30, 2023 from 3 to 6 pm with a memorial service to follow at 6 pm. She will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.

Dottie has been the best sister-law we could have ever possibly have had. We spent many happy days and holidays with Bob and Dot. We enjoyed the many hours of playing her favorite games. God bless you your finally at peace.
