Dorothy Edna Kellett, age 102, passed away June 25, 2014 at Country View Nursing Home. Born May 9, 1912 in Harrisburg, OH to the late William and Sarah (Huffman) Lightfoot. Resident of New Albany and member of Franklin United Brethren Church for over 75 years. In the church she was a member of the Women’s Fellowship, former Sunday school teacher and member of the choir. A devoted homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Survived by her children, Gerald (Evelyn) Kellett of Westerville and Delores (Marion) Shadwick of New Albany; grandchildren, Dale (Vicki) Shadwick, Jeff (Donna) Shadwick, Tammy Kellett and Dan (Wendy) Kellett; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Amber Shadwick, Jason and Rachel Shadwick, Brittni and Jerry Kellett; niece, Helen Ray of Florida. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward, daughter-in-law, Sarah Kellett, infant grandson, Scott; 1 sister and 1 brother. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Sunday 5-8 p.m.. Service will be held at Franklin United Brethren Church, 7171 Central College Road, New Albany, OH, Monday at 11 a.m., Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Maurice Martindale, officiating. Interment Maplewood Cemetery. Special thanks to Jason Tritt for his many visits with Dorothy.
