Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Readout, age 90, of Columbus, OH passed away February 9, 2023. Graduate of Central High School. Survived by sister-in-law, Barbara Cassady; niece, Rayne (Jay) Schultheis; nephews, David and Craig Cassady; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great nieces. Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Readout, brother, Howard Cassady and sister-in-law, Betty Cassady. Private service at Union Cemetery.

My mom says she met Dot at the Avondale Theater in Franklinton when they were 13 years old. They were friends through junior high and high school. My mom says that Dot was Homecoming Queen when my dad, Carl, was captain on the football team. The tradition at the time was for the captain of the football team to kiss the homecoming queen, but my dad was married to my mom at that time! She remembers going to a lot of parties with Dot and having a lot of fun together.

Well, there is a lot that we can say about aunt Dottie so many fun times she was my godmother and I can tell you we had a lot of fun.
