Doris M. Bowers, 93, of the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing, passed away Tuesday October 27, 2009 at Dublin Methodist Hospital. Born on the farm at the site of McVay Elementary School, August 13, 1916. She lived many years in Westerville, Plain City and Clearwater, Florida. 1935 graduate of Westerville High School. Member of Plain City Presybterian Church. Preceded in death by
husband, James G. Bowers in 1976; parents, Grace (Noble) & Henry Buck. Sisters, Margaret Tankovich and Mary Cole. Daughter-in-law, Alice Bowers and step-granddaughter, Deborah Stafford. Survived by loving children, Duane “Buck” Bowers, Mary Margaret (Robert) Scheetz, Judith Bush and Donna Mae (David) Bennett. Proud grandmother of 5 generations. Grandchildren, Gary (Sandy) Bowers, Jim Bowers, Mary Alice Graves, Michael (Tabatha) Bowers,
Amy (Joshua) Lloyd, Allison Scheetz, Alex (Colleen) Crager and Philip (Bethanie) Crager. Step-grandchildren; Susan (Michael) Mann, Barbara (Mark) Volstromer, Phillip (Vickie) Bennett and Laura (Burl) Whaley. 21 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. The family extends a special thank you for the loving care given by all at the Sancturary at Tuttle Crossing and Dublin Methodist Hospital. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, Thursday 4-7 p.m. where service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday October 30, 2009 with visitation one hour prior to service. Dr. Richard Ellsworth officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
