Doris Jossette Cline passed on October 14, 2024. Most recently she lived in Westerville, OH however her roots started in Arkansas and were deepest in San Francisco and Lake County CA where she lived with her husband and youngest son for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years William "Bill" Cline, her loving and caring son William "Will"" Cline II aka Cappy, father Oscar "Pete" Floyd, sister Vicki Schuster and the grandmother she adored and spent hours in the kitchen with, Thelma Grace Maugan. Jossette was born in Dewitt, AR on July 13, 1951. She graduated from Dumas High School in Dumas, AR and attended the University of Arkansas in Monticello, AR.
Jossette was a renowned chef and baker. Early in her career, she ran a deli and catering business called Jossette's. While in San Francisco she opened and managed restaurants in addition to holding corporate roles at The Bay Company on the Wharf. Her food was once featured on the Food Network, and enjoyed by a President, senators, celebrities, and many others, but the people she most enjoyed cooking for was her family.
She never met a stranger and kept in touch with former co-workers and family even while growing new friendships with aides and fellow residents where she last lived at Paramount Senior Living.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Kenneth) Featherling of Woodbridge, VA. Her sons Jason (Melissa) of Westerville, OH and Jody (Kenya) of Cabot, AR. Her pride and joy grandchildren: Brittany Featherling, Emily Featherling, Nicholas Calhoun, Samuel Calhoun, and Jasper Calhoun. Hergreat-grandchildren Lilliana Skidmore, Kade Skidmore, Amir Suleiman and Gage Featherling. Her mother Polly Cason,several brothers and sisters and many nephews and nieces.
Jossette will be laid to rest with her husband Bill and son Will in Upper Lake, CA at a date to be determined.
The family asks her friends and family to donate to the National Kidney Foundation (https://www.kidney.org/) in her memory and consider becoming an organ donor. As a recipient of a donor kidney from her son Will, this organization was very near and dear to her and the family.

You have my condolences in the passing of your Mother. I worked for Bill and Jossette in the mid 1980s when they first moved to Booneville. They were both wonderful people and I'll always have fond memories of them.
