It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Donnette Beatty-Flood.
Donnette passed away on February 20th, 2023, at the age of 87 after a tough battle with pneumonia, surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Donnette was born on January 20, 1936, in Buena Park, CA, to Gordon and Vernette Beatty. She is survived by daughters Pamela Huson (Coco, Sweetie, Mickey, Bumper, Daisey), Victoria (John) Metzger, and son Gordon (Tammy) Flood; 5 grandchildren (Matthew, Emily, Kyle, Alexis, and Timmy), one great grandchild on the way and her beloved furry companion Katie. She was preceded by her loving husband Roy Flood (September 10, 2021), Sister Ethelyn and son Paul Jr.
Donnette led a remarkable life, filled with a loving family, and cherished memories. She always put her familys needs before her own, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her unwavering love and support were the foundation upon which her family was built, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends while shopping and dining out. She was known for collecting bears, dolls, antiques and making holidays special. She was a charming, quick witted, classy lady. Even at 87 she still got so many compliments for her beauty. Donnette will always be remembered for being dressed to the nines, even to just stay home and relax. She was an inspiration to many, and her legacy will live on through the lives she touched throughout her life.
