Donna Joan (Snyder) Donalson of Columbus passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 12, 2016. Donna was born May 15, 1934 in Columbus, OH. Graduated from Columbus North High School in 1952. Employed by Columbus City Schools as a secretary unitil she retired in July 1999. Preceded in death by her husband, Roger Donalson and parents, Fred and Josephine Snyder. Survived by children, Mark (Tish) Donalson of Plain City, Kim (Howie) Sauer of Westerville and Karen (Jim) Brownfield of Columbus; grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Gillespie, Mackenzie Donalson, Kaitlyn Sauer, Taylor, Matthew and Mark Brownfield; great-granddaughter, Hadley Gillespie; nephew, Gary (Lisa) Donalson of Ashland, KY and very dear friend Bill Sanders; many special cousins and friends. Donna loved long car rides in the country, playing cards and games, our yearly Amish trip, going to lunch and plays with friends and Bill, and her faithful dog Lacey. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family beyond words. She placed her family above all else. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. She made every occasion memorable and she was always there for us. She came to band concerts, sporting events and all school programs. She loved having her grandchildren around and was thrilled when she became a great-grandmother. She will be forever loved and missed. The family wouild like to thank Dr. Paul Dusseau for his support and dedication, not only to our mom, but the entire Donalson family. We would also like to thank her wonderful caring team from Ohio Health Hospice and the special care she received from her Comfort Keeper ladies. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 4-7 p.m. where service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Jim Wilson, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
