Don was a man you couldn’t help but love. He was so good about hiring the young people at Northeast Church of Christ. Both our daughter and son worked there. Along with many others.
We have laughed much and cried with Don and Sharon.

Dear Sharon and all family members,
We are deeply saddened to read of Don’s passing. The Shanks family and our community have lost a prince of a human being. While I have known Don and Sharon since high school, my wife Jan only met the two of you together one time.
Sharon, we wish you strength in this time of loss but there are no words to replace the soul-mate you have lost. We can only mourn the loss with you.
For myself, I will remember the good times with Don, Steve Woods, and Tom Talcott during minor misadventures on summer evenings during and soon after high school. I/we so looked forward to seeing both of you at the upcoming class reunion.
Sincerely,
Don and Jan Spangler

Dear Sharon & the Shanks families: I am so very sorry for your loss (and that of everyone who knew Don)! But our loss is his gain!!! I know that doesn’t fill the void, but God truely gained an angel in Don! I pray you feel the Lord’s comfort & peace during this difficult time! I’m having surgery on the 2nd & will not be able to attend the visitation or funeral. You all are in my thoughts & prayers! Love & Hugs!
