David Metzger

David J. Metzger passed away peacefully February 26, 2025, at the age of 69. David was born on December 3, 1955 to James and Ruth Metzger in Bucyrus, OH. David was a devoted family man. He is survived by his only son, Nicholas (Amanda) Metzger, father, James Metzger, brother, Rick (Christa) Metzger, and his beloved granddaughter, Amelia Metzger. David is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Metzger, and brother, Ronald Metzger.

A passionate fisherman, David found happiness casting his line into the water. He enjoyed fishing alongside his son, creating memories they both cherished. He also enjoyed his weekly Euchre game with his dad, brother, and sister-in-law, especially because he and his dad usually won! David was thrilled to become a Pawpaw to his granddaughter, and she always brought a smile to his face. Professionally, David dedicated many years to the Claremont Retirement Village, where he was revered by his peers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th from 4-6pm at Moreland Funeral Home in Westerville, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Tunnel to Towers in Davids memory.
