Jim Smith - Jun 1, 2024

Dear Hixon Family. I knew Dave from playing pickleball together at the Westerville Community Center over the last year and a half. I was so sorry to hear of his sudden passing. He was a wonderful person and I enjoyed talking with him and getting to know him. He will be greatly missed. Dave and I discussed some of the physical issues he has faced, but he was always upbeat about "today". I will miss our talks and sharing time with him. I won't miss trying to return his wicked forehand shot that made him such a good pickleball player!

Norwin Mergler - May 29, 2024

I joined the Golden Buckeye tennis this season. I played on David’s court. What a wonderful individual. He was always smiling and welcomed me with open arms He will be missed.

I had the privilege of being a friend of David. He was a true gentleman with a great sense of humor. We spent many hours together on the tennis court where we shot more barbs than tennis balls. I will miss him dearly.

Jennifer Sugerik - May 27, 2024

Dave was one of the nicest guys I ever met. I enjoyed filling in as his tennis partner a couple of times this year with the Golden Buckeye group. Dave was a big help when I had questions about photography. Speaking for myself and all of the guys from tennis, he will be truly missed. My condolences to Brenda and all of his family.
