Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on March 2, 2025.
Dave was born in Dekalb, Illinois in 1971 and grew up in Westerville, Ohio. He graduated from Westerville North High School in 1989. Dave graduated from Miami University in 1993 with a degree in finance. He lived and worked for thirty years in Chicago, Illinois. Dave loved sports, golf, going to concerts, traveling, reading and art. Above all, he was a kind, generous and loving person who will be missed by everyone that was lucky enough to know him.
Dave is survived by his parents, David and Darlene DeSantis; sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Michael Rempell; sister and brother-in-law, Danielle and Josh Lindimore; niece and nephews, Zachary and Andrew Rempell and Ryan, Jackson and Samuel Lindimore. There will be a gathering of family and friends at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 E. Schrock Rd. Westerville, OH Thursday March 13 th from 5-8 PM
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Park Foundation

My condolences to the DeSantis Family. Dave was not only my work colleague, he was a good friend. I will miss our morning conversations about work, golf, the markets, his nephews - you name it, we'd talk about it. He was a great guy with a good heart. He is missed. I heard the sad news the other day. It's been over 30 years since I last saw Dave at the Fiji house at Miami, but the memories of meeting him when I was a pledge came back right away. I am sorry I can not be there in person to pay my respects this Thursday, but my thoughts are with you, Dave, and your other dear friends and family. My heart goes out to you all.
