David L. Boggs, 70, of Marysville, OH, passed away peacefully Monday, July 12, 2010. Born in Lansing, MI., David was a longtime resident of Westerville, OH, where he served as a Genoa Township trustee. David was a retired professor from The Ohio State University and Eastern Michigan University. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rita Boggs, and wife of 37 years, Lucy M. Boggs. He is survived by sons, John (Michelle) Boggs and Jason (Dawn) Boggs; 3 grandchildren, Margarite, Violet and Sophia; 5 brothers, Michael (Kathleen), John (Rachel), Steve (Doreen), Dan and Kevin, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, July 15th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 16th at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, 313 North State Street, Westerville.

David was one of my adult ed professors, along with Bill Dowling. Both were wonderful teachers and good men.
I loved David’s teaching methods and I always thought that if I become a professor, I hope to be like David. So, now I am a professor and I try, but I will never be as good as he was.
I have made a contribution to Pets Without Parents in David’s memory.
To the children and family: I am sorry for your loss but he was a good person and made a difference in many lives.
