Darlene V. Healey, 81 of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Kobacker House in Columbus.
She was born January 20, 1943 in Delaware County, Ohio to Russell Sr and Okie (Basham) Reffitt. After retiring from Chemical Abstracts Service in 2007, she continued her passion of genealogical research of her family and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Earl Staley, and is survived by her son, Christopher (Erin) Healey; brothers, Russell (Lynn) Reffitt Jr. and Robert (Anne) Reffitt, grandchildren, Todd (Margaret), Marcus (Samantha), Jarah and Alex; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Xzavier, and Aryah, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55bE. Schrock Road, Westerville, Wedneday 6-8 p.m. Graveside service and interment at Cheshire Cemetery Thursday at 11 a.m.

I enjoyed working with Darlene for several years in the Quality Dept of Editorial Division. Darlene had a quick wit and was cheerful. Our conversations were lighthearted and interspersed with many chuckles. I remember Darlene’s smile, which brightened my day. I was lucky to have known Darlene.
