I also worked with Dan at DeSoto servicing paint departments at Sears. We played golf together and he always had a good joke and wasn’t beneath him to play a prank or two. He was fun to be around or with him on a call. I know he will be missed by family and friends. He provided me with many unforgetable memories and surely we will all have those to celebrate his life.

Dear Sue, So much we will miss Dan walking by our house with Lilly. He always had a kind word, a joke, or wishing us a great day. It was such a shock to learn of his passing. To us Dan is in a league all his own: a wonderful man who we will never forget.

This is shocking news. Dan was the mayor of our street when we all moved into Eaton Estates. He was loved by everyone for sure. I remember many nights talking with Dan in the driveway and he would just be the kindest friend and always made me laugh. I remember the 2002 championship for OSU when he rented the community center and threw a big party. What a blast. RIP Dan, you will always be loved and remembered here in Sagamore Hills.

My Deepest Sympathies to the Rea family. May you be surrounded with loved ones and friends during this most difficult time. I met Dan at DeSoto and then what would become Sherwin Williams. I witnessed his successes. I worked for Dan and it was my pleasure. We worked hard and Dan liked to play hard too. He never lost sight of supporting everyone. I know Susan and the children and grandchildren will fill this loss immensely. I know Dan was so proud of his family and always boasted about them. He was smart, funny and kind and giving. God Bless Dan Rea and with God speed! I’m very sorry for your loss.

I was fortunate to meet Dan at the golf course about 14 years ago. We became good friends and constantly talked sports mostly buckeye football. He was a great friend and was so supportive when I was going through health issues. He was blessed with a great sense of humor and tremendous compassion. He loved his family and was so proud of all his children and their accomplishments. He lived life to its fullest and made everyone around him feel the same way. Good friends don’t come along like Dan rea very often. I’m a better person to have known him. God bless and RIP Dan. Condolences to all the family. Patty and steve feuer

To Dan’s family
Our heart breaks for you. Although Dan and I hadn’t spoken often, I just called him last week and we caught up on what was going on in our lives. He told me he loved his life and raved about Sue, his kids and grandkids. I consider Dan a great friend. We had a lot of fun together when he managed the Do it Best account. I’m sick. May God bless all of you. Dan will be missed.
Rick

Dear Rea Family, I am very sorry to learn of Dan’s passing. Dan made sales calls to me at Lancaster for many years and he became a good friend to me.
Dan always had a smile and a joke. I know he loved his Buckeyes and we were always going at each other as I am a Tiger fan.
You are in my prayers and again, I am very sorry for your loss.
Mike Smith
