He was preceded in death by his mother Mabel as well as his father and mother in-law Charles and Gloria Jackson and sister-in-law Cathy (Wingett) Jackowski. Curt carved a deep-rooted legacy in the Westerville City School district where he served as principal of Westerville North High School and as a member of the Executive Leadership team for Westerville City School District. No matter what, in the fall he could always be found on Friday nights tailgating for the Warhawk football team. Curt was a 1984 graduate of West Carrollton high school (West Carrollton, OH) and earned his undergraduate degree from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and his graduate degree from the University of Dayton (Dayton, OH). Celebration of Life, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, OH. Interment will be at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Curt Jackowski Memorial Scholarship Fund through Westerville City Schools, 936 Eastwind Dr. Westerville, OH 43081.
Curt was a Warrior through and through, which was evidenced by his fight against cancer and his love for his family, friends and school community. His spirit will remain with all whom he touched as an educator, leader, mentor and friend. Arrangements by MORELAND FUERAL HOME, Westerville.
