Clark Dean Scherer, age 73, of Corning, OH, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH. Retired from Laborer’s Local Union #423. Graduate of Aquinas High School. U.S. Navy veteran. Member of Loyal Order of the Moose, Columbus, Loyal Order of Eagles Lodge #463, Corning, VFW Post #1598, Columbus and Amvets Post #89, Columbus. Survived by his loving wife, Virginia and his dog ”Angel”; son, Kevin (Cheri) Scherer of Urbana, OH; daughter, Sally (Bill) Shiveley of Malta, OH; step-sons, Scott (Mary) Krespach of Indianapolis, IN and Kelly Krespach of Columbus, OH; 20 grandchildren and 33 great-granchildren; several nieces and nephews; wonderful friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by sons, John (Margo), Kenny (Kelly) and Mark Scherer, parents, Conrad and Rhea (Clarke) Scherer sisters, Jean Caron and Dorsey (Chet) Francis; brothers, Kas Scherer and Steve Crowell. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday 4-8 p.m. where service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., Pastor James Meacham, officiating.
