Chester Parkins

Chester Parkins, born on May 19, 1936 in Charleston, West Virginia, died peacefully August  3, 2025. Predeceased by his wife and high school sweetheart, Patsy (Anderson) Parkins. He is survived by sons Michael Parkins (Grace), Jeffrey Parkins (Debbie), grandchildren Abby Blanton (Patrick), Tara Strimel (Grant), Andy Parkins and Justin Parkins (Cassie),  great -granddaughter, Aurelia Strimel, sister Marilyn "Cricket" Parkins, and several neices and nephews and friends. He grew up in Charleston, W. Virginia and attended Stonewall Jackson High School where he met the love of his life Pat. They relocated to Westerville and raised a family. He briefly attended The Ohio State University and loved the Buckeyes. Chester was active in Westerville Jaycees and coached Pee-Wee football for 10 years, as well as, contributed to the pool and 4th of July ox roasts. He lived in Delray Beach, FL for 45 years and lost Patsy in 1988. He recently moved back to the area in 2024 where he lived out the remainder of his life.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4-6 p.m. with the funeral service to follow immediately after at 6 p.m at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville.
