Charles Robert Petrie, Jr.

Charles Robert "Bob" Petrie Jr., age 76, of Westerville, died with his wife and daughter by his side on November 7, 2023. He was happy to have the opportunity to stay in the home he built over 40 years ago.

Bob graduated from Lancaster High School in 1965. He then got his bachelors degree from The Ohio University in 1972.

Bob had a lucrative career as a wallpaper salesman. He won many awards throughout his working years. His inherent charm and good nature made people want to buy from him. His work ethic and values made customers come back to him time and time again.

His ultimate joy came from his family! He was a dedicated husband for 53 years. His two daughters were his pride and joy. He would do just about anything for his girls. Bobs world became complete when he became a grandfather. He had a special connection with his grandson Robbie. He also very much loved his three step-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife Linda (Garver) Petrie; his daughter Jennifer Petrie (Gregg Wilson); his grandson Robert Wilson; his step-grandchildren, Aryk (Taylor Schurr) Wilson, Amber Wilson and Chaylee (Brad) Freeman;his brother, Rick Petrie and his family Karen Petrie, Tara (Beth) Ernst, Allison (Mark) Mecum, and Ryan (Kari) Petrie. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Bob Petrie and his daughter Elizabeth Petrie.

Visitation will be held at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. followed by a celebration of Life at 1 p.m.
