Charles H. Blackwell, age 80, of Columbus, OH passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013. U.S. Air Force retired. Worked at ComNet. Member of Westerville Christian Church. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara; brothers, Archie and Donald Gene; sister, Letha Nall. Survived by his wife, Joanne; sons, Bruce (Marie) and Steve (Connie); 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Lyndsey (Lenny), Stephanie (Steve), Alex and Elisabeth; brothers, John (Linda) and Bill (June). Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 12th from 5-7 p.m. at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville where a service will be held Thursday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m.. Pastors Greg Bondurant and Mark Steir officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Westerville Christian Church 471 East College Ave, Westerville, OH 43081 or Mt. Carmel Hospice 6150 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213.

I worked with Chuck at Business Telephone Systems back in the 1980’s. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. He was a very kind, compassionate man who I am very proud to have known. May God comfort you and your family at this most painful time.
