Charles Allen (Chuck) Ream age 64 peacefully passed on to his reward on Saturday, December 3rd at Kobacher House. He was a graduate of West Jefferson HS. He retired from the United State Air Force after 20 years of processing top-secret communications. While in the service, he received many commendations and awards for excellence.

In 2016 after a seven-year battle with Nephrotic Syndrome that included 5 years of rigorous dialysis, Chuck received the incredible gift of a kidney transplant. Although he never fully returned to his former healthy lifestyle, he was able to enjoy life without dialysis, and his new kidney continued going strong to the end.

Chuck was a member of Southwestern Church of Christ where he served in many capacities, most recently as a song leader. He loved God, and was intently looking forward to the day when he would receive the ultimate healing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Phyllis Ream and two brothers, Kelley and Rick Ream. He is survived by his daughters, Becky (Kevin) Cox, Jesica Ream and Mindy Ream; grandchildren, Jayce, Maddox, Brinley and Londyn Cox, Ashlyn Ream and Sophia Ream; sister, Diana (Mark) Morris and many loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Southwestern Church of Christ in Grove City. A joint celebration of life will be held for Chuck and his brother Rick at the Spring Road Church of Christ in Westerville on Sunday, December 18th at 2:00 officiated by ministers JD Morris, Colin King, and Robin Weier. Interment with an honor guard will be held Monday morning at 10:00 am at Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville. All who knew Chuck knew he was a devoted OSU football fan. Chuck requested that all who attend his celebration of life wear scarlet and gray in his honor.
