Catherine Ann (Ealy) Zitko, age 75, of Westerville, OH, born December 24, 1946, passed away July 31, 2022 at her home. Born and raised in Columbus, Cathe was preceded in death by loving husband, Robert Zitko; beloved parents, Harold Ealy and Margaret McCann Ealy; much-loved brother, Tom; step-daughters-in-law, Sibylle and Laurel Zitko; special uncle, William T. McCann; wonderful friend, Ed Sieradzki; and her precious feline companion of 14 years, Sweet Pea. She is survived by niece, Heather Sigman and her husband Heath and their sons, Keaton and Aiden Sigman, all of Pickerington; stepson, John Zitko and his children, Jan, Isabella and Max, of Bethesda, MD.; stepson, David Zitko and his children, Griffin and Bailey, of Carlsbad, CA. Cathe is also survived by her ornery but much-loved felines, Dottie and Macy.

Cathe was a proud graduate of Bishop Hartley High School, class of 1965. She worked in the clerical field for 40-plus years, most recently in the Human Resources Dept. at Wendy's International HQ in Dublin, OH. Member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Westerville. She enjoyed reading and playing word games, road trips with her good friend Barbara, and weekends at The Hideaway, her favorite cabin in the Hocking Hills with long-time friend Susan.

Cathe was blessed with many friends, including the Wednesday Night Gang, who met in 1996 at a grief support group following the deaths of their spouses. Their friendship has long outlived the weekly meetings and they have gotten together for dinner nearly every Wednesday night since then, and have shared many other happy, and some sad, occasions together. I don't know what I would have done without you. The Dining Divas, a group of Hartley girlfriends from the class of '65 who reconnected as the result of their 40th class reunion and who now meet for dinner once a month. What fun it was to get reacquainted after all those years! Special Wendy's friends, Sharon and Judy. Dear friend, Susan, and life-long friends, Annie and Jackie. I loved you all and was so blessed to have you in my life.

Friends may call Monday, August 8th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH 43081. A graveside service will follow at Jefferson Cemetery, Blacklick, OH. It was Cathe's wish to be buried beside her parents, grandparents and beloved brother, Tom.

I'm shocked and sad to lose a friend. Cathe always commented on emails I sent around. I'll miss her emails. She and I shared stories about our precious cat companions. And we always met on Wednesdays with our grief support friends. I will miss her.
