Carol Renee Windsor joyously arrived in heaven on Saturday, May 17th 2025 into the loving arms of Jesus, as humble sinner, saved by his extravagant grace for eternity to enjoy his blessings for her. Carol was of Scottish, Irish, and English ancestry, born on November 15, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio, USA. She loved living in each one, and learning its history.

Preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Naomi ( Linkhorn) Frances; husband, Frank Windsor. She loved the many adventures of being his 'Little Lady' 'When Eagle Wings' met 'Angel Wings' she fell in love with his entire Canada Windsor family, sharing a multitude of incredible memories there on the magnificent shores of Lake Huron. Life pet favorites: Pickey and Body (goldfish), Perry (parakeet), Prince Charming, Wimpey, Princess Abigail (Abbey) (doggies)

Survived by her most beloved son, Vincent Stephan Windsor, who gave her the most joy-filled times, of her life and caring devotion and challenges they shared, as well as their love of Gospel music. Treasured members of the Linkhorn and Frances Families and the multitude of friends on the journey path of her 'life' she cherished.

Following Education days at Clinton Elementary, Crestview Jr. High, Whetstone High School and OSU, Carol entered the work-a-day world into the insurance industry, then she was privileged to enjoy every minute of being a 'stay-at-home mom'. She then entered the realm of 'queen of part time jobs'. With Mary Kay Cosmetics, and most recent years with AAA Travel Agency, focus Point Global, L & E Research and American Greetings. Most of all loved the role of being 'Church Lady', serving as an Elder, Mission and Planning Boards, including leadership roles, working on Mission Projects, Bible Studies and the joys and inspiration of retreats with Presbyterian Women. 'Friends in Jesus are Forever Friends'. In her spare time, she enjoyed dolls, bear and china collecting, scrapbooking, gardening, cooking and history of people and places, particularly lighthouses. She never traveled extensively, but preferred local events and places like the Columbus Zoo, and Lakeside and treasured places she traveled to from 'Sea to Shining Sea' in the USA. 'Christmas Carol' enjoyed all the preparation and festivities of all holidays.

The most favorite thing she enjoyed was getting together with friends, particularly the Thursday morning coffee group and after church fellowship in Ballard Hall. She loved to eat anything chocolate, in any shape. Carol was a Buckeye fan since birth, having been born in OSU hospital - 'GO Buckeyes!'

To my beloved son, Vince the shared faith lessons of our Christian home have taught us we will be together again one sweet day for all of eternity, in our heavenly home, with Jesus. Each of us, holding a hand of Jesus, in the days ahead.

Lynn Campbell Lyons - May 23, 2025

I was so shocked to learn of Carol's passing. Carol and I were good friends in middle school. I went on to North and Carol went to Whetstone. We rekindled our friendship as adults meeting for lunch and catching up on old times. Carol was such a kind, caring, gentle person. Always smiling. Always positive. Just a great person to spend time with. I will miss her smiling face. RIP my friend.

Cheryl (Casdorph) Crigger - May 17, 2025

Vincent, My sister & I are so very sorry & shocked to learn of Carol's passing. I just saw her obituary in the Dispatch. We knew her & Don & Naomi from W. 4th Ave Church of God, our parents were good friends. It's been awhile since we've seen Carol & sadly it would be at funerals for a former W 4th Ave or MeadowPark church member. Carol was always so bubbly, such a nice & good Christian woman. May God give you and your family the strength needed, peace & comfort knowing Carol is with God during this very difficult time. You are in our thoughts & prayers. Cheryl Crigger & Anita Casdorph
