Carol Jean (Dreps) Elter, 67, of Westerville, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Mt. Carmel Hospital East, after being diagnosed with cancer in March of 2016. Graduate of Rogers High School in Toledo, Ohio, and a graduate of University of Toledo with a BA in Elementary Education. Carol enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, crosswords, board games, arts, and crafts. She loved to cheer on her grandchildren at their sports. Most of all, Carol will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Anyone who had the honor of being in Carol’s company was drawn to her sense of humor and love of her family. She is loved by many and will be deeply missed by every life she touched. Preceded in death by her mother, Louise (Eble) Dreps, sister Diane Dreps, and brother Dr. Donald Dreps. Survived by her loving husband, James A. Elter; daughters, Janeen (Chuck) Monroe and Lindsay (Eric) Mauter; grandchildren, Julia, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Carson, and Drew; father, Dr. Aloysius (Marija) Dreps, sister, Susan (Michael) Duket; brothers, Robert Dreps and Douglas (Robin) Dreps, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio, 2-4 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016, with Celebration of Life Service at 4 p.m. Pastor James Meacham officiating. Private interment.

So sorry to hear about Carol. I remember many fun times on Herst Rd. hen I was a Hurst. Miss all the “old” time fun and parties with former friends.
