It is with shattered hearts and devastation that we announce the unexpected passing of Broden “Brody” James Corne, age 20, who left us far too soon on June 1, 2026, following a battle with mental health. He was a deeply loved son, grandson, brother, cousin, and friend.

Born on February 20, 2006, in Westerville, Ohio, Brody brought endless joy to his parents from the moment he arrived. He grew up full of curiosity, compassion, and kindness. After graduating from Westerville South High School in 2024, Brody worked at Dairy Queen and then started a career with a full-time position at Robin Enterprises. He loved to work and help people in any way that he could; he would be the first to give you the shirt off his back because he cared so much for others.

Brody lived life with a loving, compassionate, and generous spirit. He loved all of his friends and family in a way that will never be forgotten. He had a great love for music and movies, and enjoyed building and fixing things. Above all, Brody was a protector of his family and a fiercely loyal friend. His quick wit, infectious laugh, and genuine warmth filled every room he entered. The grief of his absence is shared deeply by his heartbroken parents, Wendy Corne and Joseph (Joe) Corne.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry E. Fudge Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Wendy Corne; father, Joseph (Joe) Corne; and step-mom, Mao Vang-Corne. He is also survived by his siblings, JJ Corne, Bella Vang-Corne, and Emma Vang-Corne; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Fudge; paternal grandparents, James (Jim) Corne and Carol Thomas Corne, and Connie Kelley and Donald Kelley; aunts, Heather Fudge-Davies (Jack Davies) and Amanda Crist (Kenny Atkins); uncle, Jason (Jay) Corne (Lisa Corne); and cousins, Breanne Mooney (AJ Mooney), Stella Mooney, Isaiah Mooney, Haylee Pothorski, Kambra Crist, and Caden Crist.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH. A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the funeral home with Rev. Calvin Alexander officiating. Burial will conclude at Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville.
