Betty Sue “Suzie” Nestor, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at home. Born February 13, 1929 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Ida Fipps Everett and Arthur Kern Everett. Graduated from Mifflin High School in 1946, where she met the love of her life, Harold M. Nestor. Married December 26, 1948, they shared a joy-filled life for nearly 47 years until his death in 1995. Suzie received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in School Psychology from The Ohio State University. She taught hundreds of youngsters during her career as an elementary school teacher in Columbus Schools’ Devonshire Elementary and Alpine Elementary. Her greatest joy was her family, who treasured her and deeply mourn her passing. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law Thomas Zastudil. She is survived by daughters, Mary Lee Zastudil of Cardington, OH and Nancy Nestor-Baker of Westerville, OH; son-in-law, Frederick Baker of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Amanda Nippert and John Nippert of Cardington, OH, Nancy Zastudil of Albuquerque, NM, Adam Baker and Kelle Baker, Caley Nestor-Baker and Robert Howell, Harold “Hal” Baker and Ashley Baker, all of Westerville; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Levi and Samuel Nippert, Bo and Fitz Baker, Meredith Howell, Jackson and Madelyn Baker; much-loved sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou Everett Caley and Robert Caley of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law, Rachel Vera Simon of Dublin, OH; and cousins in Tennessee Visitation will be Monday, October 31, 2016 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Rd, Westerville. All are welcome to attend a celebration of Suzie’s life at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 Sunbury Rd, Westerville, OH, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. David M. Redding, officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery. If friends desire, flowers are welcome as are donations to the Harold M. Nestor Scholarship fund at Columbus State Community College, 550 E. Spring Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
