Betty Jane (Montgomery) Williams, a loving mother and grandmother passed away at her home in Columbus, Ohio with family by her side Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the age of 78.
Betty was born September 15, 1944 in Westerville, Ohio, daughter of late Anna Mae (Hunnell) Lawhon. She is survived by her four daughters, Anna Hodges, her husband Bruce of Cambridge, Ohio; Debra Basham of Mount Vernon, Ohio; Charmin Deal, her husband Mitch of Columbus, Ohio; Rosa Williams of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Joshua Deal; Benjamin Murray; Emily Deal; Elizabeth Hodges; Kaitlyn Hodges; Caryn Hodges; Patrick Robert Hodges, and two great-grandchildren Riley and Paxton Deal.
Besides her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband Harry Williams; daughter Rebecca Murray; son-in-law Ray Basham; sisters Virginia Wolverton; Mary Schweitzer and Eloise Williams.
Betty enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and made sure each one was special and knew she loved them. Betty's love for sewing was seen in the remarkable dresses, costumes, doll clothes and teddy bears she made for family members over the years. Betty also, baked the most amazing cookies, always beautifully decorated and delicious.
Graveside services will be held at Blendon Central Cemtery 6330 S. Hempstead Rd. Westerville, Ohio at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 28, 2022, all friends and family are welcome. Arrangements have been entrusted to Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville, Ohio.
