Betty Zane (Wiget) Comer passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at the age of 94. She was born on January 14, 1922 in Pike County, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents Jacob W. and Goldie Pearl Wiget, husband Isaac, son Larry, daughter Sandra Kruse, four brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by daughter-in-law Lynn Comer of Dayton, son-in-law Harold Kruse of Columbus; grandchildren Adam, Andrew (Audrey) and Alex (Samantha) Comer, Karla Kruse; great-grandchildren Eleanora, Miles and Beau; numerous nieces and nephews; special loved ones and friends including Harry and Donna Lobdill, Chris Stuck, Dorothy Schultz, Gary Link, and Eva (Paul) Davis. Betty enjoyed cooking for family and her many friends and tending to her flower beds. She was a devoted member of St. Luke Lutheran Church (Gahanna) and former member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (Columbus). Visitation will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church 4456 Morse Rd., Columbus, Friday, October 7th from 2-4 and 6-8pm where a service will be held Saturday, October 8th at 11am with additional visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Steve Brown officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church.
