Betty Jo Campbell, age 79, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Employed by Embassy Suites where she received the Employees Spirit Award. Former Avon Representative and Manager for Campbell Brothers Blue Grass Band. Former Ohio Representative for Stanley Brothers Fan Club. Betty Jo was an avid fan of Blue Grass Music. Survived by her sons, Randall R. (Wanda) Campbell and Ricky D. (Pamela) Campbell; grandchildren that were the apple of her eye, Travis Randall, Tyler Adam and Taylor Ranae; brothers, Carl, Mont, Jr. (Thelma) and Billy (Phyllis) Derefield; sisters, Norma Jean (Larry) Fannin, Carolyn Sue Derefield and Brenda Hinds; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh; daughter, Linda Jo; parents, Mont and Osie Derefield, Sr.; brother, Tommy; infant siblings, Raymond and Martha Belle. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday 5-8 p.m.. Service will be held at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 7080 Olentangy River Road, Delaware, OH 43015 Saturday at 10 a.m., Rev. Marion Redding, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Lung Cancer Research or Mt. Carmel Hospice. Betty Jo touched the lives of many friends who will miss her caring spirit.

The past several months brought me a wonderful friendship with Betty as
part of the Cancer Grouo of Liberty Presbyterian Church. What a beautiful,
proud, gracious and God loving lady. I will miss our talks and visits.

I only new her for maybe a year but we spent time talking about life and how much she missed her husband and how he would sing to her she even gave me a tape of him sing in his band,what a treat to have spent time with betty she was a class act she will be missed by meny,what a lady !!!!
