Bert C. Whightsel

Bert C. Whightsel, age 93, of Dublin, OH passed Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was born May 11, 1932 in Fairfield County, Pickerington, Ohio. Retired after 34 years with Timken Company. Bert was a member of the United Steelworkers of America.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953.  He loved nature, music, art, and sports (especially football). He enjoyed playing the accordion at his local Kroger store.  He also played harmonica.  Excellent at doing Old English Calligraphy and would make "name cards " for many that would cross his path  throughout the last 20 years.  Loved all sports but watching college and pro football was his favorite. He had a genuine love for God and it showed in his love for people and nature.  He will be greatly missed by those who got to know him the 93 years he walked this earth. Bert was Preceded in death by his parents, Oren and Grace Whightsel and ex-wife Janice. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy McCarty and son, Greg Whightsel.
