Barbara Louise (McKinney) Caldwell, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 6th, 2024, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born October 13, 1940 in Columbus to Alva Joe and Wanda (Anderson) McKinney. She was a 1958 graduate of New Albany High School, where she was a cheerleader. Barbara loved making baby quilts and crocheting afghans for co-workers, friends and family. Her generosity touched many lives. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, and playing sudoku, crosswords, and especially big family games of dominoes. During all that, she always had a sports game on in the background as she was an avid sports fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother David McKinney and two sister-in-laws, Debbie McKinney and Deborah McKinney. She is survived by sons Kevin and Brandon Caldwell (Monica); grandchildren Kevin Caldwell Jr (Ashton), Alex Caldwell
(Isabel), Benjamin Caldwell, Ian Caldwell, and Katy Cox; one great grandson Maverick Caldwell; two brothers William Bill (Marcia), and Rick McKinney, and one sister in law Judy DeCenzo, as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to Moreland Funeral Home in Westerville on Monday, Nov. 11th. Calling hours are from 9:30-11:30 followed by services at 11:30, Pastor Mike Brown officiating, and interment is at 1:00 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Brandon and Family.... We are sadden to hear about the passing of your Mother. We just saw her months ago at our children's band concert in New Albany. We will remember and rejoice in the warm memories we have for being the Mom of one of our son's bestest of friends to your beautiful marriage to Monica where so glowed to see her son so happy with a beautiful wife. God abundantly shed all His Blessings upon you and your entire family with the secured promise that we will all be together again! ETERNAL REST GRANT UNTO THY SERVANT, BARBARA, O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HER...AND, MAY HER MEMORY BE ETERNAL...AMEN
