Barbara Jean Girard

Barbara J. Girard, age 83, of Westerville, passed away August 27, 2025 at home. She was born February, 3, 1942 in Queens, New York. Daughter of William and Catherine (Scofield) Kelch.

Barbara had various jobs over her professional career. Her favorite activities were volunteering at St. Ann's Hospital, where she volunteered for over 20 years and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by her husband of 63 years, George; sons, Tom and Dan (Jana); grandchildren, Joey, Allie, Maddie, Lilly and Jake; brother, Jeff (Corrine) Kelch; and numerous other family members around the country. Preceded in death by her parents and daughter Jeanne at birth.

Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday, September 1, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. followed by a service at 12 p.m., Rev. Christopher Richardson, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to either Capital City Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
