Barbara Ann Neubig transitioned to her heavenly home at the age of 87 on December 29, 2025. Barbara was born May 20, 1937 in Uniontown, PA. She moved to Norwich, CT as a young child, and lived in that area until marriage. Barb married Norman J. Neubig Sr. In November, 1955 and they lived in the Columbus/Westerville area until death.
Barb was proud of her career working in customer service with JC Penney insurance. She then became a systems analyst for Fidelity Life Insurance, and retired as a Senior Systems Analyst from Huntington Bank. Though no college degree, Barbara defied the odds of career advancement and demonstrated to her children the value of dedication and hard work.
Barbara was predeceased by husband Norman J. Neubig, Sr. And Deborah C. Neubig. Survivors include Norman J. Neubig Jr. (Carol), Angela Fairweather, Elen (Ray) Porter, Walter Neubig, Michael (Caroline) Neubig. Grandchildren Natasha, Anne, Ashley, Ben, Regina, Rob, Bill, Allison, Haley, Rebecca, Emily, Megan, Grace, Olivia.
Funeral mass 10:30 am January 2, 2025 at St. Paul's Catholic Church 313 N. State Street, Westerville, OH. Funeral procession immediately following mass. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Columbus Area Humane society to honor Barb's passionate love of animals.

I worked with Barb in customer service at JC Penney Insurance. She was so pleasant and wonderful to be around. If I remember correctly, Barb and her family had a fish that they nurtured at home — giving him the name pf a character in the Andy Griffith Show — Ernest T. Bass.

I am so very sorry for your loss. We visited Barara and gave her communion weekly. She will be missed.
