Ann Louise Adams (Simone), 'Grannie Annie', age 98, of Westerville Ohio, passed peacefully in her sleep on October 5th, 2023. She was born to Nicolaus & Anne Simone on March 24, 1925, a native of Cleveland Ohio. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. Her legacy is one of faithfulness, love, commitment, and laughter. Her most exciting day was when she married her beloved George in 1946. She encountered many moves during her life but resided in Westerville for the past 53 years. Ann loved people and hearing their stories, she loved to read, her tea and ice cream. Ann enjoyed flowers and watching her jewelry channel. A baby's presence could put a smile on her face. She appreciated the artwork of her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She loved hugs - big ones that lasted a long, long time.

Ann was a loving and devoted mother to Dennis (Sharon) of Westerville, Susan of Columbus, Kevin of Columbus. Very proud grandmother of Dustin (Emily), Gregory (Lynae) , Kayleigh (Darin), Kimberly (Patrick) and Kyle (Jenn). Adoring great-grandmother of Jason, Joel, Elise, Jordan, Elsa, Evie, Konner, Darin Jr, Ellie, KJ (Kyle, Jr). The whole family will miss her retelling of the 'Good ole Days', like her 'fresh milk right from the cow' experience; sitting around a table with her and her many relatives reading by a single oil lantern; about her father being a lamplighter, the numerous places she called home, delivering her first son by Dr. Moses of Mt. Sinai hospital and many others. These stories were so vivid, so alive in her recall, that she would laugh out loud in an infectious way. She was a quiet (unless she drank her tea) but prodigious force in all of our lives and will be greatly missed as we seek to follow her example of sweet kindness and putting others first.

Her precious memories will be carried on by her three children, five grandchildren & ten great-grandchildren along with an extended family of relatives and friends. Our beloved Ann is reunited with her husband of 61 years, George J. Adams. Also her four siblings: Mary Bruening, Helen Kist, Margaret Buescher & Eulalia Kane; as well as many other loved ones.

Friends may visit at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Scrock Rd, Westerville, on Thursday, October 12th, from 6 until 8 p.m. On Friday, October 13th, there will be an added viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. scheduled at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 N. State St., Westerville, OH. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebration at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Daniel Olvera will be the celebrant. The Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio.

After the cemetery service, a reception will follow at the church.

Aunt Ann is the last of the beautiful Simon sisters. We are so sad to see her pass, but know that she will be lovingly United with Uncle George and her beloved sisters. Aunt Ann was always the person you wanted to sit next to at any gathering. She always made you feel welcome and she was always kind and only had good words to say about everyone. We will miss you Aunt Ann. Love, Jane and Ralph
