GRANDJEAN


Andrew Grandjean, age 89, of Westerville, Ohio and formerly of Sandusky, Ohio, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 after a brief illness. Andrew was born in Nagybecskerek, Hungary in 1921. He came to the U.S. in 1950 with his young wife and five year old son. Andrew was a veterinarian, employed by the U.S. Government for 30 years. Andrew’s wife of 66 years predeceased him on July 31st, 2010. Andrew is survived by his sons, Andrew M. Grandjean (Elizabeth Watts) of Westerville and Joseph E. Grandjean (Nancy Keyes) of Toledo and daughter Mary Ann (Duncan Buell) of Columbia, South Carolina. He is also survived by loving grandchildren, Cybele Grandjean and Robert Spica, Aniko Grandjean and Scott Burley, Drew Grandjean, Emily Grandjean and Nathan Briney; great-grandchildren Ellis, Laszlo, and Jaxon; sister, Maria Velics. A memorial service for immediate family will be held at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME in Westerville, Rev. Fr. David E. Gwinner, of St. Paul Catholic Church, officiating, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
