Cary (Nicky) Mciver, 87 of Westerville, OH passed away at home on 02-19-26.

Cary was an Army Veteran during the Cuban missle crisis and retired as an Accountant. Cary was a member of the Westerville Kingdom Hall where he made long lasting friendships. He loved to fish and wouldn’t turn down a meal out with friends. He enjoyed making lasting memories with his grandchildren. Most of all he loved sharing almost 60 years with the love of his life Marie (Rie) their marriage was a true partnership built on devotion, laughter, and unwavering love. Together they created a life filled with family, Faith, and cherished memories.

He was Proceded in death by his parents( Moses and Lizzie), his siblings, and his Son (Garland Mciver).

He is survived by loving wife Marie Mciver; sons Christopher Reid, and Cary Allen( Mary)Mciver; grandchildren, Justice Mciver, Ireland Mciver, and Sean Mciver. Many Nieces and Nephews, and close friends.

Friends may call from 12-2pm at Moreland Funeral Home in Westerville, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the Funeral Home.

A Poem In Remembrance of Uncle Nicky Until We Meet Again, Uncle Nicky God saw your weariness and gently called your name. He wrapped you in His loving arms and took you home in peace. Though our hearts are heavy and our tears still fall, we thank God for the gift of you for your love, your strength, your presence, and the way you cared for us all. You were more than an uncle, you were a covering, a guide, a light— a fatherly heart in our lives, steady, loving, and true. Your voice may now be silent, but your love still speaks. It lives in our memories, in our laughter, in the lessons you left behind. We do not say goodbye forever, for we know this is not the end. We place you in God’s hands and hold on to His promise that one day, in His glory, we will meet again. Rest peacefully, Uncle Nicky, in the presence of the Lord. To the McIver Family, My heart is so heavy, and I am deeply grieving with you all. Uncle Nicky was so much more than an uncle to me … he was like an uncle and a father all in one. His love, his presence, and his spirit meant so much to me, Chris, and my children. We loved him dearly, and his absence will be deeply felt. I thank God for the gift of Uncle Nicky’s life and for the love he gave so freely. He was truly a blessing to our family, and the memories of him will forever live in our hearts. The kindness, strength, and love he carried will never be forgotten. Even though I cannot be there with you all today in person, please know that I am with you in spirit, in love, and in prayer. I am asking God to wrap His arms around each of you, comfort your hearts, strengthen you in this time of sorrow, and give you peace that only He can give. To Uncle Nicky’s family, My heart is with you all during this painful time. Uncle Nicky meant so much to me, Chris, and my kids. We loved him dearly, and he will truly be missed more than words can express. He was more than an uncle to me …..he was like my uncle and father all in one. His love, presence, and the way he cared meant everything to us, and we will always carry that in our hearts.
