Helen Louise (Betow) Norton crossed over the River Jordan to join her beloved husband, Carl Jack, and begin eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 28, 2021. She was 100 years of age. Born in Hiram, Ohio to Arthur and Lillian Betow, she became an RN, joined the US Navy during WWII. Her Naval service began at Great Lakes Naval Station, and took her across the country to Farragut, Idaho Naval Hospital and then San Diego Naval Station. Helen finished her Naval service as a Lieutenant JG.

She studied at Northwestern School of the Bible. Billy Graham was President of the school at the time. Carl and Helen became home missionaries and later served in the Pastorate of Morse Road Baptist Church.

Helen and her beloved "Nort" took to the road in retirement in their RV. Helen enjoyed her hobby of "metal-detecting" and became an expert at finding gems and other treasures and seeking out owners of the found treasures.

Helen's service record was incorporated into the National Womens Military Service Memorial at Arlington Cemetery. She was part of the Honor Flight program.

She attended Westerville Bible Church faithfully, worn out a Bible or two and continued to sing the great hymns of the church!

She often remarked how much she misses her "Nort who was a great guy." No longer, they are together again, for eternity.

She is survived by her children: Dan, Becky (and George) Dunlop, Jim ( and Roberta), and Rachel. Her son Timothy Lee Norton predeceased her. She also leaves grandsons Adam (and Leslie) and Dustin (and Wendy) and four great-grands: Camille, Carter, Marshall and Parker. Helen was "Gramma" to four precious poodles who she cherished and who brought her great joy: Maggie, Gaby, River and Emma.

The family thanks the compassionate team who cared for Nurse Helen at the Grove.
