Return to Condolences

I have known jess for almost 50 years. It was with her along with some other very good friends that i had the best times of my life. We grew up together playing golf in my backyard, swimming and playing “sea hunt” in her outdoor pool whether the flag was up or not, driving around town in her red t-bird convertible listening to the beatles, playing in the annual “cold bowl” football games where jess got her nose broken one year, riding up and down the neighborhood streets on the lawnmower with her beautiful collie dog named phyfe, throwing frisbees on the courthouse lawn, racing our ford mustangs out river road late at night, driving around town in her hottest new car listening to the beatles’ “hey jude” and the doors’ “light my fire” again and again and again with the volume as high as it would go, typing on her note cards the funny things that came into our heads like “I think I’m going to get a parrot “, playing down in the basement of her house, sending secret-coded messages to each other late at night with flashlights, playing cards and listening to music while we devoured the unbelievably delicious food she had cooked up for us, taking late night walks around the neighborhood after we had enjoyed the evening meal and taking care of a friend on new year’s day at her house. I last saw jess jan. 27, 2006 and for some reason unknown to me at the time she gave me all of her note cards from all the fun times we had together during our lives. I now know why she gave me those cards. T
