Return to Condolences

I had the pleasure of flying with Don Reese when we were stationed at Quonset Pt, RI, VS-39. We flew the S2F off the carrier USS ESSEX and from our home base. I once flew with Don on a training flight and we landed at Youngstown, and I had a chance to meet some of his family. Don was a very good pilot, a fine officer, and was admired/respected by All Hands in the squadron. I left him a message of few months ago when I heard he was ill. Don was a God-fearing man with a wonderful spirit, and I am sure he was a superb witness for his faith right to the end. Deepest condolences and we all shall cherish grand memories of a truly great guy! John Butterfield
